A little Abdalrazzaq’s Journey to Recovery
In the middle of challenging security conditions and worsening living conditions in Rural Der Ezzor,
some are enduring the consequences. One particularly vulnerable group is our children, and among them is Abdalrazzaq, a 9-month-old who, accompanied by his mother, sought help at the Al-Salam Center.
His mother, grappling with despair over her son’s well-being, shared, “My son is always hungry and cries incessantly. Despite trying cow’s milk alongside breastfeeding, it didn’t help. He suffered from diarrhea, lost weight, and I felt disheartened once more.”
Admitted into the OTP Program on October 8, 2023, with a weight of six kilograms, Abdalrazzaq started a trajectory of recovery. With multiple visits to the center and through dedicated learning sessions, Abdalrazzaq shows remarkable improvement. Progressing into the ٍTSFP Program, he swiftly approached recovery, achieving an optimal mass of 8.2 kilograms.
